About us

What we do

Top Play is an independent guide to free-to-play online games. We play each one ourselves, measure it against others in its genre and rank the titles we think give players the best experience.

Staying independent

We don't run, own or publish any of the games on our list. Rankings come from our own testing against the same criteria every time: the first hour, access and devices, and long-term play. We check every listing monthly and drop games that are no longer maintained.
